Her work in safety-net healthcare settings has led to impactful contributions, including presenting research at conferences and co-authoring peer-reviewed articles on topics such as health equity, cancer survivorship, and adherence to care. Edgar Avilez
Edgar is the cofounder and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Margins Health, where he is responsible for overseeing the organization’s finances, community health initiatives, and the development of the company’s innovative proprietary software solution. His leadership is instrumental in driving Margins Health’s mission to revolutionize preventative health and make health services more accessible to underserved communities.
With a unique combination of over four years of experience as both a product manager and accountant, Edgar has honed his skills in strategic financial management, product development, and small business accounting. Before cofounding Margins Health, he worked at leading professional services firms, where he successfully led projects aimed at developing groundbreaking products and streamlining financial processes for small businesses.
Edgar’s expertise bridges the gap between finance and technology, enabling Margins Health to operate efficiently and develop impactful solutions. He is passionate about creating systems that not only improve financial outcomes, but also contribute to the overall well-being of communities
